How to use the Mobility Online Portal This portal displays the exchange possibilities within the mobility programmes of the University of Vienna. They are based on agreements between the University of Vienna and the partner universites. Details of the respective agreements such as language requirements and open spots for the different study cycle are displayed in the detailed view of the agreements. Contact information of the University's mobility coordinators can also be found in the detailed view of the agreements.
Erasmus+ Student Exchange academic year 2026/27

Applications for places in the academic year 2026/27
Starting on 15 January 2026, students will be able to apply for Erasmus+ spots in the academic year 2026/27 (main application round). Information regarding the exchange spots will be up-to-date at the beginning of the application round. Please note that generally mobility grants as well as all universities and spots will only be available during the main application round, the number of spots during the second application round is limited and the nomination is offered without a grant.

Information on the required application documents as well as the application process is provided here. Whether you have to provide additional obligatory application documents, can vary depending on your degree programme. Please also check your department's Erasmus+ website for further information.
The application for an Erasmus+ spot at the University of Vienna must be submitted online via the registration tool Mobility Online within the application period.
  • Main application round for the academic year 2026/27: 15 January (noon) to 5 March 2026 (applications for the winter semester 2026/27 or summer semester 2027)
  • Second application round for remaining places in the summer semester 2027: 15 September to 5 October 2026 (applications for the summer semester 2027)
ATTENTION: Please note that earlier application deadlines may apply depending on your department – thus, you would have to create your application in Mobility Online before the aforementioned deadlines. Therefore, please also check your department's Erasmus+ website for further information.
 
Information on how to use this portal:
You can only apply for host universities your degree programme has agreements with. You can find the details of the agreements (i.e. language requirements, number of exchange spots, study cycle, mobility coordinator etc) in the detail view of the agreement (info-Icon left to “Universität Wien”). There you can also find the information, if possible remaining spots at the university cannot be included in the second call in September (Restplatzvergabephase).
