How to use the Mobility Online Portal This portal displays the exchange possibilities within the mobility programmes of the University of Vienna. They are based on agreements between the University of Vienna and the partner universites. Details of the respective agreements such as language requirements and open spots for the different study cycle are displayed in the detailed view of the agreements. Contact information of the University‘s mobility coordinators can also be found in the detailed view of the agreements.
Non-EU Student Exchange Academic Year 2024/25

Call for the academic year 2024/25:

The call for the academic year 2024/25 opens approximately one month before the application deadlineInformation regarding the exchange spots will be up-to-date at the beginning of the application round. Please note whether the exchange is possible at your level of study (undergraduate, graduate).

                                                                                                      

Application Deadlines:

Main Application Round: Depending on the agreement, you can apply for one academic year 2024/25 or one semester/term (Winter Semester 2024/25 or Summer Semester 2025).

  • Asia, Africa: 15 October 2023
  • Australia/Canada/USA: 15 November 2023
  • Latin America /Lebanon/Israel/Russia /Ukraine: 1 February 2024

Remaining Spots for the Summer Semester 2025:

  • Remaining places will to be published around April 2024
  • Application Deadline: May 15, 2024

Information regarding the application:

The agreements with the Non-EU partner universities are mainly university-wide, i.e. students from all faculties of the University of Vienna can apply for an exchange place. However, please note, that depending on the partner university some fields of study can be restricted or closed for exchange students. Please find out directly on the website of the partner university you are interested in whether your field of study is offered!

 

You can find the details of the agreements (i.e. language requirements, number of exchange spots, study cycle, mobility coordinator etc) in the detail view of the agreement (info-Icon left to “Universität Wien”). 

 

Information on the required documents as well as the application process is provided here. Please read the information carefully before you start the application. The application for an Non-EU Student Exchange spot at the University of Vienna must be submitted online via the registration tool Mobility Online within the application period.

 

 

Information on the level of study:

Bachelor students can already apply at the end of their Bachelor’s degree for a stay during their Master’s degree. Master students can also apply for undergraduate spots if enough undergraduate courses are available, which can be recognized for their Master’s degree.
